Scholarship Overview
The purpose of the AIP TEAM-UP Together scholarship program is to support African American students in pursuing and completing their bachelor's degrees in physics and astronomy. This scholarship was established by the TEAM-UP Together Partners 1, and is supported by the AIP Foundation and donors. The TEAM-UP Together Scholarships consist of $10,000 awards for African American physics and astronomy majors who have financial need and are actively working toward their undergraduate degrees.

Scholarship at a Glance
- Several $10,000 awards may be made each year
- Students may receive only one award per year
- Current award recipients may re-apply each year for renewed support
- Awards are made on the basis of financial need and student commitment to pursue a bachelor's degree in physics or astronomy
- Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate at an accredited US institution of higher education.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be African American or Black physics or astronomy majors or prospective majors in a US institution
- Applicants must be second semester freshmen or higher, graduating seniors are not eligible to apply.
- Funds must be used to continue or complete undergraduate education
- Awardees will be required to submit a completed W-9 federal tax form before disbursal, which will be provided upon notification
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing
- Applicants must agree to provide current contact information and respond to award surveys
